A Year's Worth of Snow

The only problem with Saitama, except the lack of water, the stamina test that is summer, and being the ugly little brother of Tokyo, is that there's almost no snow. Last winter was reasonable, but I suspect this, the first day of snow, will also be the last day of snowfall this year.

Spent the day yesterday wandering around Akihabara with Mark. Hoping to pick up collectible figurines and a touch of the new Akibakei mystique.

The weather was quite nice, in my opinion. Heavy rain, light winds and warm. I picked up the Pinky:St fighting figures. Only bad spot of the day was smashing a glass in a maid cafe.

New Years

Went to Taisho's place to meet Katsu, Shi, and family. Mark came in a little later. After winding up there, most of us went to hatsumode at the local Hikawa Jinja. First time I've seen anyone there at all, and it was packed. Mark's got a few pics.
